Tamworth Hockey has over 1100 members, making it one of the largest sports in Tamworth.

Our facilities are the highest quality with us being the only regional Hockey Association in Australia to offer three synthetic water based international standard fields all under lights.

Local players including Kate Jenner, Matthew Willis, Alice Arnott, Lily Nielson and Georgina Morgan have risen through the representative ranks to achieve appointments with the Hockeyroos & Kookaburras. Tamworth has had five Olympic Representatives in Matthew Smith, Michael York, Kim Small, Kate Jenner and Alice Arnott.

The opportunities to play at representative level by participating at Tamworth Hockey are immense. We boast many NSW level coaches and with only 4.5% of the registered hockey players in NSW, we represent some 23% of all NSW State Representative teams.

Our junior representative teams compete at the highest level and are on par with Sydney, Newcastle and Wollongong. This is primarily due to our approach towards developing players of all levels, our high performance coaches and our international quality facilities.

 Our competitions include:

Tadpoles (pre-school level)
Minkey (5 to 8 years of age boys & girls)
Girls (U10, U12, U14, U16 & U18 girls)
Boys (U10, U12, U14 & U16 Boys)
Mixed Monday Night U18 Competition.

For the adults (both mens and womens) have three grades plus a mid-week Masters competition for the over 35's to enable people of all levels to enjoy the sport.
